Welcome to the New Year! We have reached another milestone as we travel on our journey through life. Have you thought of resolutions or goals for the year? It seems mine just repeat the previous year's good intentions. I am reminded of the Bible passage in Jeremiah 29: For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart (Jeremiah 29: 11-13).

I might make those efforts to keep goals, but if they are not of the Lord's plan, they mean nothing. As we travel through this new year, let us call to the Lord, pray and seek Him in Word and in prayer. He has such wonderful things prepared for our journey. So, take His hand and walk in the manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:2-3).

Together, we will learn His plan and the things He has prepared for us, both individually and in our LWML. Serve the Lord with gladness!
